Quebec to closing of all non-essential services and economics activities

The Gouvernement du Québec has ordered the closing as of March 24, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. of all non-essential services and economic activities.

Grocery stores, drugstores and service stations will remain open.

A complete list of establishments that can remain open will be announced shortly and updated regularly. It should be noted that the following stores and public spaces should already be closed:

  • aquariums;
  • skating rinks;
  • bars and discotheques;
  • libraries;
  • sugar shacks;
  • training gyms, dance halls and spinning, zumba and yoga centres;
  • indoor soccer arenas;
  • outdoor recreation centres;
  • cinemas and games arcades;
  • sample counters and booths in grocery and department stores;
  • malls (boutiques and stores with exterior access remain open);
  • recreational sites (ski resorts, amusement parks, trampoline centres, etc.);
  • museums;
  • water parks;
  • swimming pools, spas and saunas;
  • restaurant dining rooms;
  • performance spaces;
  • theatres;
  • hairdressing salons;
  • beauty salons;
  • personal care salons;
  • zoos;
  • all other similar facilities.
